Have you ever heard a "Guru" tell you that you needed to develop "Multiple Streams of Income" in order to be successful online? I'll bet you have.

But you know what? That's complete and utter BULLSHIT.

I'm really sorry if that offends you, but I don't know how else to really get the point across. You see, we have been fed this crap for so long, by so many "Experts", that we have come to really believe it, and I for one have just recently got hip to the scam.

You do understand, that all of the "Gurus" are selling things, right? I mean, for all of their talk of "Giving back to the community", and "I'm so wealthy now I just love to help others", they usually have their hand out at the same time, hmmm? I'm not saying that they "Don't" really beleive that, I just view it with a little healthy skepticism.

But my real point is, if we focused on one thing as marketers, whatever that area or niche might be there would be a lot less opportunities to sell us stuff, wouldn't there? I mean, if you have a dog training niche, and you are focused on it then why do you need an air mattress website? Or a ready made package of articles on forex trading? Or whatever? Do you get my drift here?

It is in the "Experts" best interest to keep you jumping around like an idiot, always seeking the "Pot-O-Gold", and never really settling down and becoming their competition...I mean they are actually causing "Entrepreneurial A.D.D." in people like us!

What you really need to be doing, is focusing on a FLOOD of income from one source. A Great, Honkin', HOSE of Cash from your core business. Focus on that ONE business, and serve ONE market and ONE targeted group of people, and you will WIN this game.

Be World Class at ONE thing. Find More Leads for that ONE business. Then find New Products and Programs for that ONE market. Keep up with the Changing Needs of your prospects. And Find More Traffic for your Sales mechanisms.

Once you have done this, and developed that Great Flowing Pipe of Moolah- Then, and Only Then, can you consider moving to a new project. You could even sell this wonderful structure you have built and start over! You have all the options, because you have built something World Class that is going to Last.

On The Dangers of Losing your Way...

Hi there, I'm Baaaaack...

You probably thought I died or something? Lol, nothing so dramatic. What happened was...

I got sidetracked, overwhelmed, and then BURNED OUT.

I lost my way, and lost my focus. I will bet this has happened to you at one time or another in your life as well. We are bombarded from all sides daily with options as marketers, and it's easy to get overloaded.
I started in this business as an Adsense site builder. I had a nice little income growing when I decided to try my hand at Affiliate Marketing. This seemed to be a natural progression for my business, and it was the right decision.

But I didn't stop there and perfect what I had first- oh no...

I branched off into different MLM's, downline builders, coreg programs, safelists, ffa's, and other complete and utter CRAP in a misguided attempt to be all things to all people. And in the end, I became nothing to nobody...Not even myself.

Consider Commission Junction

Commission Junction is on of the great affiliate resources around. If you aren't signed up with them, you are seriously missing out! They are THE place to get links to top manufacturers and retail outlets for any product you can imagine.

Unlike Clickbank, they deal in "Hard" goods, such as housewares, electronics, clothing, etc... Pretty much anything other that downloadables and books, etc.

While the commissions are smaller than you may be used to from Clickbank, the Markets are MUCH bigger. The potential is there to really explode your income if you choose carefully to match your niche.

Don't Take Short Cuts with Content!!

I had one of my Article Submission accounts suspended over the weekend. Why? A Shortcut, that's why!

In the interest of speed, I used a PLR Article as a template for an article I was going to write anyway. I mean, I had the idea for the article, it was a Valuable idea, and I know how to write without using crutches, but in the interest of speed and efficiency, I elected to use a "club" article that I recently got as a "template" for my article.

And I got my ASS handed to me. I mean, I rewrote it and everything, and thought I was creating a unique article, but it was Killed within HOURS, and my account was Suspended. And after re-reading the TOS of the site, rightfully so!

I have learned a valuable lesson here, and I hope you will too without having to go through the same thing: Duplicate Content WILL be discovered and get you in Hot Water. If you are going to modify PLR Articles for use on a website, you need to use a service like Secret Article Converter to do it with to be sure that you are going far enough with your mods.

But save that stuff for websites. Don't EVER submit a PLR or any other form of duplicate to an Article Service. They will SLAP YOU DOWN FAST!

The Bright side? The Article Service in question graciously reinstated my account after much consultation with them. As all my other articles were 100% original, they accepted my apology and allowed me a second chance, which they did NOT have to do.

I have learned my lesson- I hope you have too!
