Finding Your Niche- Multiple Streams Debunked!
Last post we started discussing why I think the "Multiple Streams of Income" idea is dangerous and wrong to us as marketers.
Today I want to start developing ideas for the alternative which is that "Great Golden Stream" of Income from one source. I know that sounds a little naughty, now, but try to keep your mind out of the gutter, hmmmm? :-)
Remember, we are looking for that One market, and One targeted group of people that absolutely Must Have what we are offering. So, what are we good at? What subject really trips our trigger? What is your favorite hobby? Do you read a lot of books? Build model trains? Ski? Cook? Scuba? Build birdhouses? Hang off rock faces? Beat your vehicle in the mud? What?
Everyone is an expert in something- what's your claim to fame? Let's pick one at random from the list, say, scuba. Now let's do the most raw, basic search on Google for our base keyword. "Scuba" returns over 34 Million pages! That's a lot of competition for our markets attention, but not insurmountable. We just need to "Dive" a little deeper!
Next time we will flesh out this idea a little more with some tighter focused research. Until then, start making a list of topics and maybe writing some articles about your chosen niche, because we will need them soon.
