A Christmas Rant

Good Lord, It's as though a six hundred pound weight has been lifted off of my shoulders. The shopping is done, the stress is pretty much over. All that remains is to pay the credit card bills! Does anyone else feel like the Christmas season just gets more and more bulls**t every year? Is there anyone else that feels that we are just puppets pulled into pieces of money by the expectations of our families that have been primed by wily marketers?

What ever happened to peace on earth, good will to all men? When exactly did it become such an insane race to the bottom line? When exactly did our worth and reputations begin to depend on how big a box we could wrap?

This has been the most stressful and agonizing Christmas in my 45 year history. I would be very interested to know how you feel about your experience this year. Please, comment.
